Galleries set to charge £10

VISITORS to Scotland's national galleries could be charged £10 to enter, it was reported today.

Next month's Scottish spending review is likely to reduce the money the galleries receive from the Scottish Government, as well as the annual grant to National Museums Scotland.

Other alternative methods of saving money at the National Galleries would be to close or partially close one or some of its buildings in the Capital, which include the National Gallery Complex on The Mound and the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, sources were reported as saying today.
