A DRIVER has been taken to hospital after a lorry overturned on the M8 early this morning.

The incident occurred at 05.54 at Junction 8 at Baillieston where the lorry collided with the central reservation.

Police Scotland said no other vehicles were involved.

The motorway was closed eastbound, causing long delays during rush hour.

Traffic was diverted off the motorway along the M73.
