Trevor Francis returns home after surgery

TREVOR Francis has been discharged from hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack on Friday.

Birmingham Heartlands Hospital confirmed that the former England striker had been released yesterday afternoon after recovering well from surgery. Francis became Britain’s first £1 million player when he joined Nottingham Forest from Birmingham City in 1979 and went on to score the winning goal for Forest in that year’s European Cup final. He also played for Rangers, joining the Glasgow team in 1987 for one season.
