Dechmont Cup kicks off with derbies

The Dechmont Forklift League Cup kicks off tonight with a string of cracking ties.

The games are all played in pre-arranged sections with the teams playing only one game against each other this season and the fixture being reversed next term.

Camelon, the cup holders, boosted by the signing of ex-Hearts keeper Myles Hogarth, start of their defence with a home game against Sauchie.

Beaten finalists Linlithgow Rose are at West Calder with new signing Dario Quinn in the squad while Super League winners Bo'ness United face a trip to face Broxburn Athletic on their new playing surface. Broxburn have bolstered their squad with new signings Jamie Nixon and Steven Kyczynski from Bo'ness while the visitors, who have lost Darren Gribben and Andy Shirra, will have new signings Ross Hamilton, Gary Cameron and the returning Andy Scott in their squad.

Newtongrange Star face Armadale while Arniston, who have lost several players, take on Musselburgh Athletic.

Bonnyrigg Rose are at home to local rivals Penicuik Athletic where manager Craig Meikle has brought in Paul Riley to assist with coaching, signing Michael McDermott from Linlithgow and Mark Robertson from Bonnyrigg.

Bathgate are at home to Harthill with new striker Chris Jeffreys ready to start.

Whitburn, relegated from the Super League, face Fauldhouse while Livingston United face Stoneyburn. Dalkeith have a derby against Edinburgh while Pumpherston have a home game against Spartans Juniors.

Tranent are at home to East Lothian rivals Haddington.
